I actually feel very sorry for kids who are so spoiled that they have no deep sense of purpose in life and aren't taught to appreciate and recognize the value of things at all...don't you? After all, it is not the things one owns that makes one happy, it is the things one appreciates... furthermore, for a mother's main objective in life to be that she and her children always have the best designer clothes etc... is so shallow, isn't it??? So many of these kids these days are also not taught any responsibility...doesn't it aggravate you that these parents are hurting their children greatly? I almost consider it a type of abuse as this type of parenting sets children up for many bad failures in life and possibly many mental/social problems later on due to the extreme over-protection against any disappointments in life (that if allowed might actually help to teach positive coping skills/ tolerance/consequences for one's actions)...agree??? What are your thoughts???
