Anyone seen the Edinburgh Military Tattoo?
I have never actually been to it, but watch it every year on TV. This year there was a theme of Robert Burns 250th anniversary and Scotland's Year Of Homecoming.
I have to say, I didn't enjoy it as much as I have done other years - too much singing I think. It's supposed to be a Military Tattoo.
The Swiss drummers were good but I absolutely adore the Massed Pipes and Drums. There is nothing to beat them.

Sewrobb - I do remember them taking the canons apart, hoisting them over walls and putting them together again. I wondered why that had stopped. I might have known bl.....y Health & Safety.
we went on Aug 15th and it was fantastic a really good mix of singing and bands
the setting of Edinburgh castle was fantastic and it was a night i will never forger
we watched it on tv last night and although it was good to re live the night you have to be there to appreciate it and soak up the atmosphere /it was so well organised and there were 4000 people there just enjoying themselves no trouble at all
Book tickets early next year and go to the 2nd show of the night
you will have a brill night
