What type of airsoft gun would be more beneficial for me?
Ok, so let me set the scene. It is night time... a 3 on 3 battle. There are many large bushes and patches of trees to hide under and in. Should I get an automatic AEG like the Echo P90 model or the extremely silent UTG Master Sniper series?
The sniper scope is an AO if that matters at all.
Just because it's night doesn't make sniping impossible. Sure it would help if you had a 500 dollar ATN night vision scope, but a flashlight and a quick shot will do just fine. The scope you mentioned is an AO which stands for adjustable objective... standard and useless at night. Even with a quick burst of a flashlight you probably won't be able to focus your target correctly. A red dot actually works for me. Keep it on the lowest setting and it shouldn't be overwhelmingly bright. Be patient, wait for your target to draw near and shine a flashlight on him; just long enough to focus yourself and disorient the opponent while getting off a quick shot and fall back to a safe position. If you feel that you would like a sniper though I strongly suggest that you purchase a JG Bar-10 G-spec instead of a UTG master sniper. I bought a G-spec a few weeks ago and it shoots very well; so well that I don't even need to think about upgrading. What I did do is pull off a few do-it-yourself mods to make the gun sound like a whisper when fired. The included suppressor does a great job of muffling the sound with or without foam packed in it. Overall a much better rifle than the UTG you're looking at. You can get the G-spec off Evike.com.
Going with an AEG is also a smart move. Whatever you choose, sniper or aeg, is up to you. Good idea though about going with a P90. Night games are a world different from day skirmishes.
