Casio Vibration Watch
What is Electro-luminescent backlight Auto light switch with afterglow mean if a Casio digital watch has it?

Does it mean the whole display is lit up instead of just a light in one corner?

Does it use more or less battery power than a normal digital watch light?

Is there still a light that uses extra power to see in the dark or is it different technology that does not require extra power to see in the dark?

What do you think of this watch?

Do you think the 15.6mm width of it will make it look clunky?

Electro-luminescent backlight means the whole display lights up. I don't know the actual technology, but I believe it uses less battery power than the normal digital watch light. This is anecdotal -- my watch battery lasts much longer on the watch where I have that kind of display.

Glow-in-the-dark displays do not use any power.

I can't provide an opinion on "clunky." I'm a guy. I like big watches. It doesn't appear clunky to me. (I've had that watch before.) That particular watch is extremely durable, and can probably deal with physical stresses that you'll never subject it to.
